Influence Courses

People do business with people they like. Successful results are greatly determined by your ability to influence the behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of other people. This isn’t about manipulation, but rather understanding fundamental psychological aspects of human nature. This course assumes that most people you’re working with are good, honest, and decent most of the time. The core of all positive interpersonal relationships, and one of the two main goals when influencing, is mutual liking. Liking or disliking others is based mostly on unconscious processes. We have six Influence courses available in this series that focus on appropriate use of power, influence techniques, how to get others to follow your lead, win-win negotiations, maximizing your core influence and preventing group think.

This course is now launched in Adaptive Learning format.

Understand what the key things are to note regarding your body language, speech and energy levels when influencing others. We will show you how to create a great first impression and inspire others to act.

Win-win negotiations

Negotiation is a strategy for resolving differences. Discover what is required to collaborate, create win-win outcomes and when you should compromise. Understand the five levels of negotiations and how you can best be prepared for any negotiation. How can you use a variety of strategies to advance the conversation and follow the seven steps of effective negotiation

Maximizing your core influence

Understand how to use trustworthiness and expertise to inspire belief with those people around you. Discover ways to build credibility and playing devil’s advocate against your case. Understand how to restore lost credibility using tools such as apologizing, explaining and recovering with a plan.

Preventing group think

Groupthink is the uncritical conformity of a group to prevailing points of view when making decisions. Understand the main motives for groupthink conformity that include the desire to avoid appearing foolish, making waves, seen as a contrarian and embarrassing others on the spot.

Course delivery details

With Adaptive Learning you will have a unique learning journey based on your excisting knowledge of the subject. The 5 modules will take 20-40 each to complete depending on your Adaptive journey.
