Course description

Cross-Cultural Training

Managing a virtual team or a complex project with members working from different locations is challenging enough. When a mix of cultures is involved, misunderstandings and mistaken assumptions can quickly derail even the most talented team. This workshop explores the aspects of teamwork that most often trip up global teams if cultural differences are not acknowledged, discussed, and worked through.

In this highly interactive session, participants learn how to identify and address the cultural differences that have the greatest impact on team collaboration and communication, using small-group activities, scenarios, and large-group discussions.

Who should attend?

Individuals who will benefit from this course include managers, team leaders, project managers, and members of global teams who want to take better advantage of the rich diversity of global teams by learning how to work together more effectively. This workshop will be equally valuable for those coming from different teams or intact teams. This workshop is designed for a group of 10-20 participants. While intact teams may derive the greatest benefits, members from a cross-section of teams will also benefit.
