Course description
Project Management 101
This course is designed to provide participants with an overview of selected project management concepts, tools, and techniques so as to enhance their ability to effectively manage projects. Briefly touching on theory and key definitions, the workshop focuses on real-life project application. Learners will be exploring concepts such as competing constraints, the project life cycle, as well as impact analysis and tradeoffs when change is introduced. They will also write a scope statement and perform either a basic stakeholder analysis or risk analysis on a project they identify.
Who should attend?
This course is targeted toward individuals who have experience either working on or managing projects but who don’t necessarily see themselves as “project managers.” Basic knowledge of fundamental project management concepts is helpful but not mandatory.
