Course description
FIU’S Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with Project Training and Certification program includes a project component, with review and guidance from an FIU College of Business faculty member who is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. At this level, participants gain a deeper understanding of advanced analysis and resolve problems that affect quality. Our Green Belt with Project Component program enables qualified individuals to lead and manage a project of their own by adding considerable experience in a real-world situation chosen by the participant and with guidance from the FIU professor they will work closely with.
By successfully completing this program you will learn how to:
- Select the right projects
- Define the problem that needs to be solved
- Measure the current problem and baseline the process
- Analyze the process and identify the cause of the problem
- Improve the process by implementing and verifying the best solution
- Control the new process by maintaining the solution
Who should attend?
The successful completion of a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.

- Project Charter, Voice Of the Customer (VOC) to Critical-To-Quality (CTQ), KANO Model and SIPOC Diagram
- Process capability, Segmentation and Stratification and Sampling Strategy
- Measurement System Analysis
- Box Plot, Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY) and Process Map
- Pareto, Concept of LEAN, Hypothesis Testing
- Correlation, Mistake-proofing and FMEA
- Process Management Charts and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Fishbone Diagram, Data Collection Plan (DCP) and Normality Study
- Run Chart, Control Chart and Regression
