Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - Healthcare
Through this five-day course participants will develop continuous improvement and quality engineering data analysis skills used in Lean-Six Sigma problem solving for healthcare. Six Sigma analyses can be applied to a range of health system issues including operations and lab testing. Key concepts and tools on the course will be explained and reinforced through past projects, exercises, case studies, and in-class simulations.
After the course, participants must demonstrate their understanding of concepts through a Green Belt Certification Exam and successful completion of a project.

Certification / Credits
Students pursuing the University of Michigan Six Sigma Green Belt Healthcare Certification must score 80% or higher on required exercises and complete a Six Sigma course project for certification. Students may either choose a healthcare Six Sigma project from their own workplace (with instructor approval) or select a prepared case study project developed by University of Michigan faculty.
