Course description

This webinar will provide tools and tips for the general, construction and maritime industry to comply with the OSHA rules regarding crystalline silica exposure and enhance OSHA worker safety guidelines.

The final ruling for crystalline silica exposure has been released by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The OSHA final rule is expected to provide a net benefit of approximately $7.7 billion, annually through control of exposure and other provisions of the rule. Exposure to silica has been linked to lung cancer, silicosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and kidney disease in workers. The standard will regulate the Construction, General Industry, and Maritime sectors which have workers that drill, cut, crush, or grind material containing crystalline particulates. In this webinar, our expert will review the important concepts for protecting your workforce from silica exposure and overview the new OSHA standards.
