Length: 23 pages

The Indiana State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers requires for every biennial renewal cycle that engineers earn 1 PDH studying engineering ethics and 1 PDH in the study of the Indiana Laws and Rules for Engineers. This course is specifically designed to cover both the ethics requirement and the laws and rules requirement.

The course is divided into two sections. The Laws and Rules portion of the course includes excerpted sections from the January 2014 booklet, “A Compilation of the Indiana Code and the Indiana Administrative Code” published by the Board that most directly pertain to the practice of engineering.

The Ethics portion of the course covers the Rules of Professional Conduct in the aforementioned booklet. Additionally, examples are provided to demonstrate real life scenarios where engineers have faced ethical dilemmas in professional practice related to the Indiana Board’s Rules of Professional Conduct.
