Unconscious Bias Training
Our unconscious bias training courses use research to help your team members understand the process and implications of their implicit bias. Can we get rid of unconscious bias completely? No. But we can help your team members mitigate unconscious bias within themselves and within the organization.
Personal experiences, backgrounds, stereotyping, and cultural context can impact our decisions and actions without us even realizing it. This is unconscious bias.
Unconscious bias is all about perceptions. Perceptions that either favor someone or disadvantage someone in our minds because of their race, gender, abilities, you name it. Even their accent or face shape.
How we see one another and the lenses we use impacts an organization's culture, employees, and processes. Unconscious bias can impact recruiting, hiring, and promotions if individual biases go unchecked.
At people3, we like to say that while you can't get rid of unconscious bias—after all—it is unconscious, but you can create awareness that can help mitigate those blind spots. We can help your team do that.
Course delivery details
One-on-one coaching
Our coaching option curates an individual learning session designed to improve workplace communication and sensitivity. Our diversity and inclusion facilitators work with individual organization employees to deliver personalized content on respectful workplace strategies.
Coaching sessions begin at 2 hours and can be delivered on-site at the organization or virtually. A feedback report is also delivered to the organization to outline individual action items and content covered.
Self-paced Online Courses
Our online course options run one hour or less and cover a broad range of diversity and inclusion topics. Courses are self-paced and deliver an emailed certificate upon successful completion. The current course catalog includes courses on sexual harassment, diversity and inclusion, communication, and inclusive leadership.
Costs
Our self-paced online courses can be purchased as individual credits or at a discounted group rate.
