Course description
Variable Frequency Drives Virtual Instructor-led Training
Available in both virtual and in-person, instructor-led formats, this two-day hands-on Variable Frequency Drives course introduces the student to the world of variable frequency drives and their applications in industrial plants and commercial buildings. Students will learn how to improve VFD control and efficiency, troubleshoot and fix VFDs, reduce equipment downtime, and eliminate chronic VFD problems. Students will perform hands-on activities with a real-life variable frequency drive. Students will input motor data into the variable frequency drive, set parameters for speed control and overcurrent protection, and check fault codes. Students will complete this VFD training course with the ability to lower the cost of VFD operation, thus alleviating the need for hiring costly outside service contractors, all while establishing a culture of safe work practices among employees.

Course delivery details
Onsite and offsite instruction are not the only options for variable frequency drive training. Online courses provide equally effective instruction. Known as VILT, or Virtual Instructor-Led Training, such courses are taught in a live audiovisual classroom with 100% instructor interaction. An internet connection, microphone, and webcam are all you need to take part in live virtual variable frequency drive training. You can join the session from anywhere, including your workspace or the comfort of your open home.
Practical, hands-on experience with variable frequency drives helps you retain learned skills. VILT may include simulation training, in which you interact with variable frequency drives in an immersive virtual environment. Hands-on interaction with VFDs in simulation training allows you to see firsthand how different processes work while providing you with practical experience you can apply on the job immediately.
