California Low Carbon Fuel Standard Amendments: What You Need to Know Webinar
Trinity Consultants
Course description
The Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) regulation, originally adopted by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) in 2009, required California transportation fuel providers to reduce the average carbon intensity of those fuels by no less than 10 percent by 2020. Since its adoption, the LCFS regulation has been dramatically overhauled by CARB, first in 2011 and then again in 2015. Now, in light of the aggressive California climate change goals set forth by SB 32 (2016), CARB is once again making extensive changes to the LCFS program, including a proposal to require that the carbon intensity of California transportation fuels be reduced by no less than 20 percent by 2030, and adding a myriad of new requirements applicable to fuel providers that will increase the level of effort required for compliance. This webinar will cover the most critical operational changes to the LCFS program that impact all regulated parties and discuss the implications of the proposed amendments for the transportation fuel industry.
