Course description

Facilitation Training for New and “Accidental” Trainers

Fundamental skills for facilitating adult learning

People in managerial roles often make lateral moves into corporate L&D. The problem is – they’re not trainers. They may not understand the intricacies of adult learning or how to facilitate learning in a way that resonates with learners for maximum effectiveness and retention.

We all know that training is more than giving a presentation. Set your new and accidental trainers up for success. This interactive workshop builds the skills participants need to facilitate adult learning. We cover how to effectively present content, facilitate group discussions, set up and debrief exercises, and provide constructive learner feedback.

Throughout the class, participants apply the principles of The Orderly Conversation® to their own real-life training content.

Facilitation Training for New and “Accidental” Trainers includes access to eCoach – our program for pre-work and post-workshop performance support. Participants receive reusable job aids and reference materials to help participants apply what they learn in class to situations they face outside of it. All attendees receive a copy of The Orderly Conversation: Business Presentations Redefined.

All Turpin Workshops are highly customized to your organization’s and employees’ specific goals and challenges and can be delivered virtually or on-site.
