Course description

The JavaScript Certificate program is comprised of two courses. The first is an introduction to the JavaScript programming language and coding practices. The second is a course intended to support portfolio building, professionalism, and working in the software industry.

  • Analyze, identify, and troubleshoot code for problem solving

  • Analyze client requests to plan and then create an application that satisfies customer needs

COURSE 1: Introduction to JavaScript

 Introduction to JavaScript provides instruction in key concepts, methods, and problem solving techniques that focus on preparing you to utilize JavaScript for app and website development. This course is offered in a hybrid format by learning at your own pace throughout the week combined with regularly scheduled live web conferences with classmates and the instructor.

COURSE 2: App & Website Development

App and Website Development seeks to prepare you for the job market, including creating a portfolio of work to share with prospective employers, learning about the processes and methodologies of Agile software development, and working collaboratively to satisfy client needs. In this course you will team up with other classmates to learn Agile software development practices, working collaboratively to create projects for your portfolio or personal satisfaction.
