This course introduces the employee to Allergen Management and their role in keeping food safe including:

Overview of allergens

  • Facts and myths about allergens
  • Effects on customers
  • Effects on the business


  • What is cross-contamination
  • Preventing cross-contamination 


  • Importance of correct labeling
  • Labeling procedures

The course takes 20-30 minutes to complete. It includes video, narration, and interactive quizzes. If the employee doesn't pass the quiz, they are directed to re-watch the video and try again. They may download or print certificate of completion once they successfully complete the course.

This course is available in both English and Spanish.
